2.000 Academic and Curricular Procedures
Title: Cancellation of Classes
Purpose: To establish the University of Oregon policy on cancellation of classes.
Policy:
Any decision regarding a proposal for campus-wide cancellation of classes rests with the President or the President's designee. (The President has delegated the Vice-President for Administration authority to close the University in the event of severe weather conditions.) In view of the fundamental importance of the University's educational programs, the President's decision to cancel classes will be made only under extraordinary circumstances.
