Title: Student Conduct Code

Purpose: To describe the intent and identify the location of the full text of institutional policies, rules, and regulations governing the role of students and their conduct at the University of Oregon.


Policy:

The University of Oregon has promulgated a Student Conduct Code which contains important regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to student life. It is intended to inform students and members of the University community who work with them of students' rights and responsibilities during their association with the institution and to provide general guidance for enforcing those regulations and policies essential to the educational and research missions of the University.

Administration of these rules is the responsibility of the faculty (see OPS 352.010) acting independently or in conjunction with
the Vice President for Student Affairs or with the Dean of Students and the Director of Student Judicial Affairs. All faculty and administrative staff should be familiar with the Student Conduct Code.

The full terms and conditions of the Student Conduct Code are contained in Oregon Administrative Rules Chapter 571, Division 21 - University of Oregon.

Highlights of the Student Conduct Code are published in the Student Handbook which is incorporated in the "Time Schedule of Classes" published each term.
