This former OUS internal directive (IMD) is not needed post-governance transition.  The IMD effectively gave universities authority to accept gifts for endowed chairs and proscribed certain guidelines.  These items are not necessary because there is no state board and the university has this authority.  Irrespective of this IMD, the institution has articulated policies and practices regarding endowed chairs. Those would not change as a result of repeal.
